Ledyard Fire Company along with Mashantucket Fire Department responded to a motorcycle accident on the new CT Route 2 Bypass. Connecticut State Police requested a fast response to the scene due to the injuries sustained. Firefighters found the motorcylist on the "Flyover" portion of the highway. Ledyard Deputy Chief Jeff Gaccione requested Lifestar to the Foxwoods Lot 10 Helipad. Patient care was handled by American Ambulance Medic 30. Medic 30 decided to transport by ground and cancel Lifestar. Firefighters provided lighting services to CSP while accident was investigated. all units in quarters by 21:12.
