1st Rescue Truck, a 1967 Ford Panel Van converted from a Ma Bell Telephone Truck. Truck was purchased from proceeds of fundraisers by the Ladies Auxilliary. The first Hurst Tool in the Town was purchased for this unit.

Ledyard Members return from duty overseas

Ledyard Firefighters John Doucette and William Stoiber recently returned from serving overseas with the U.S. Military. Firefighter Doucette was serving in Iraq with the U.S. Coast Guard and Firefighter Stoiber was in Afganistan with the U.S. Navy.
Firefighter Doucette will be returning to the streets of Groton shortly, and Firefighter Stoiber was recently named as the "COB" on the USS Missisippi, SSN 782 currently in construction at Electric Boat Shipyard.
